A special thank you to the Wapiti Fire Department for helping make our 9/11 Remembrance Walk so meaningful. Our students climbed 110 flights of stairs and honored those who lost their lives, firefighters, police officers, first responders, and all those helping on September 11, 2001.
Students even had the chance to carry firefighter equipment, giving them a small glimpse of the strength and courage shown that day.
Thank you for helping our students remember, honor and appreciate the heroes.

Thanks to your generosity, all the money raised will go right back to our students for FUN activities and special memories!
Always grateful for this incredible community!

Happy National Chicken Day!
Our students worked hard creating their own chicken masterpieces and learning the legend of Chicken Boy, LA's unofficial mascot!
Art. History. Chickens. What more could you want? :)

We may keep it simple at our little rural school, but on Bow Day, we sure make up for it with some pretty handmade ones!

Here are a few highlights from our final days of school!
We went from celebrating staff recognition (a big hooray for Ms. Ellie!) to an exciting scavenger hunt, and we wrapped up the school year with a sweet surprise -- Mrs. Clarkson treated everyone to freshly made cotton candy!
The scavenger hunt organized by Ms. Ellie was an absolute blast, students showed incredible grit, worked as a team, and thought outside the box to solve some tricky puzzles that led to the grand finale: A fantastic water balloon fight!.
Wishing everyone a fun, safe, and adventure filled summer .

We also visited the BBCW Museum to be the very first group of students to experience the "Artful Movement" project in collaboration with the National Museum of Asian Art, developed to create calm through guided movement and mindfulness. The object chosen as the focus was a horse mask that is close to 200 y.o. WOW!, Students embodied a horse getting dressed in regalia and walking in a horse parade at a pow-wow. Thank you to Mrs. Ruby Gray for providing such a special activity.
Wapiti loves our community and all the learning centers we have access to!

Mrs. Croy's class has been learning all about sharks. We've been tracking them, learning their migration patterns and the differences between species.
Our own Ms. Ellie is a shark expert herself! She spent some time studying Lemon Sharks and was happy to make arrangements so we could talk to a real shark expert!
Take a look of our scuba students Shark project.

The American Heart Association (AHA), has extended its heartfelt gratitude for our students efforts in raising money through our recent Kid Heart Challenge program.
This students dedication is making a profound impact on the lives of children & families across the country . Children like Everly, who was born with several critical heart defects and whose family faces financial challenges in covering medical expenses. They deeply appreciate our generosity, compassion, and support.
Proud of our Wapiti students!

Happy Mother's Day weekend to all our amazing school moms, thank for all the love and sunshine you send over..

Ms. S's class has been hard at work diving into the fascinating world of birds!
Students researched and compared two species of wood peckers, the Gila woodpecker and the northern flicker to explore how animals adapt to different environments., in this case, from deserts to forests.
Way to go, Ms. S's class, we love seeing our students explore, learn, and grow.

Students made their own pots using mosaic techniques with recycled paper and planted seeds in them.
They also created art from our 3D printer waste, turning discarded materials into something beautiful.
We are proud to be good stewards of our planet by reusing materials and finding creative ways to care for the Earth.

We are beyond thankful for such a wonderful and memorable night.
