Our 4th-grade and RISE students had an incredible opportunity to visit the Riley Arena Ice Rink as part of our commitment to standards-based learning. Experiences like these extend learning beyond the classroom walls, allowing students to apply skills in real-world settings while building teamwork, perseverance, and confidence.
We believe meaningful, real-world experiences help create lifelong memories and lifelong learners. Opportunities like this show students how academic standards connect to the world around them and reinforce the importance of collaboration, goal setting, and community engagement.
A special THANK YOU to our valued community partners, the Yellowstone Quake Hockey Team, for investing in our students and being there to support and encourage them. Your leadership and positive example truly made a difference!

This morning, our students partnered with Cody Regional Health to learn CPR—an important, real-world skill that empowers them to help others in an emergency. Hands-on learning like this builds confidence, responsibility, and leadership, and we’re grateful to Cody Regional Health for investing their time and expertise in our kids.

Today our 4th graders turned into scientists and athletes as we explored force and motion—Olympic style! 🇺🇸❄️
Using hand-crafted foil skiers and popsicle-stick skis, students tested pushes, pulls, speed, and friction to see what made their skiers glide farther and faster. Every race was an experiment, and every experiment brought new discoveries!
From designing their skiers to cheering on their teammates, learning was hands-on, creative, and full of excitement. 🧪🎿
